Correction: Southern California-Chemical Tan story
In a story published May. 26, 2026, about attribution of a quote in a story about a damaged chemical tank in California, The Associated Press attributed a quote to the wrong official. It was from TJ McGovern, interim fire chief of the Orange County Fire Authority, not division chief Craig Covey.
